Sangha’s Relief work started in 1920 during famine in Sundarban ( Khulna district) when he was only 24 and hundreds of youths and college students managed the serious situation by box collections and street collections in villages Dr. Prafulla Chandra Roy, was stunned to visit the spot since the whenever there was flood the Sangha reached there. It undertook mammoth relief work in earthquake affected Bihar in 1934. Baboo Rajendra Prasad, Pt Motilal Nehru etc. praised the Sangh’s service at Darbhanga. It took massive efforts during famine in Bengal specially in Midnapore after disastrous flood there.
Millions of refuges from East Bengal ( Pakisthan) began to rush to India after the partition in 1947. The exodus was very high in 1950, 52, 54, 1960, 1962, 1965 and finally in 1970 & 1971. Thousands of monks and volunteers of the Sangha were posted at Petropole & Gede border and at Sealdah Station to help these unfortunate poor Hindu villagers, who had to leave everything including their homes, landed property, money only to save their loe for mother India and ancestral Hindu religion and rites and rituals Relief camps were set up by the Sangha at Sealdah, Gariahat, Jadavpur and even at Mana camp (Raipur)- Dandakarany. The Sangha managed 56 Relief camps throughout the India-Bangladesh Border from Petropole, Darshana to North Bengal Balurghat border areas. Sangha served for unlined one year and even after the Independence of Bangladesh, at the request of these Hindu families, the Govt. of India and Govt.of Bangladesh.

Bharat Sevashram Sangha is relevant of the people, by the people and for the people and the Acharayadey is a dynamic light of animation and innovation organization and coordination, integration and unification.
Medical Services: it is running hundreds of charitable dispensaries, Hospitals, Mobile Medical Units, Ambulances, Leprosy & Cancer welfare centre, Patients homes throughout the country.
Education: it is running hundreds of Schools, Colleges, Women’s Colleges, Technical Training Institution, Hostels specially in the remote villages and among the weaker section of the society. Moral education character building, motivation for patriotism physical exercises, Yoga classes and varied cultural activities are parts of the education.
Tribal & Backward class welfare: it is running large number of centers for the upliftment of backward classes & tribal’s specially in Jharkhand, Nagaland, Assam, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Guzarat and Tamilnadu. None than 5000 tribal children are getting free residential education.
